Position: Field Technician

Location(s): Chicago, Illinois; Tempe, Arizona; Los Angeles, California; San Fracisco, California.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as required.

  • Accountable for the installation, maintenance and support of Nortel TDM and VoIP systems.
  • Supports end-user new installations, configurations, upgrades and migrations through problem isolation, verification and escalation resolution and documentation.
  • Provides solutions to a diverse range of complex problems
  • Facilitates and manages communications between project team members and customers. 
  • Directs post-sales support activities in the design and implementation of customers' projects.
  • Provides written documentation for all projects per customer requirements
  • Provides remote and field post-sales support of hardware systems, sub-systems and/or applications for customers or field personnel utilizing remote diagnostic and on-site capabilities
  • Provides post-sales technical support to clients and internal staff
  • Promotes excellence in Customer Satisfaction.
  • Promotes teamwork.
  • Possesses excellent customer consulting, presentation and meeting skills
  • Is proficient in the use of common PC tools for Administration, paperwork, and inter/intra office communications
  • Works independently under minimum supervision.
Possesses good written, and verbal communications skills
